What is Hydro Seeding?
Hydroseeding is the use of a slurry mixture of seed, mulch and water sprayed onto prepared ground to plant a lawn or other soil stabilizing ground cover. Hydroseeding is used as an alternative process to the more traditional broadcast or sowing methods. Click Here or on Photo to view movie
Benefits
Using hydroseeding increases germination as well as shortening the germination period. The moisture content and retention is greatly improved and the process makes it possible to include other necessary products within the slurry. Fertilizer for a balance and improved greenup and thickness, special agents for temporary erosion prevention and sometimes a dye is included to offer an immediate appearance of plant growth.
- Hydroseedng is safe and non-toxic, to us and our environment!
- A single application by our professionals will yield superior results compared to traditional sod !
- It's Economical! costing less than 50% of using sod or traditional methods of replanting or reseeding.
Current State of the Art
In the early 1950's hydroseeding was implimented in large area commercial projects including the development of the interstate highway system. The process was initially only cost effective in these large projects due to the size and type of the equipment used. In recent years improvements to the process and equipment has allowed use of the method on smaller areas.
We have taken advantage of these technological improvements. Using this new technology makes us competitive with sodding for new lawns and for lawn repair and modifications. Let us show you how with a quote.
Uses for Hydroseeding
Hydroseeding can be used in place of all other methods of growing grass in a lawn. It can be substituted for sodding on new lawn and replacement situations at a substantial reduction in cost.
- New technology allows hydroseedng to be cost effective for both small and large jobs.

- Use it to repair insect or disease damage
- New lawns or overseeding to thicken existing lawns.
Commercial Hydroseeding Efforts
Many commercial projects use erosion control plantings rather than grass seed. These different seeds can easily be integrated into the mix instead of grass seed.
With the new equipment that Ewald Complete Lawn Care uses hydroseeding has now become practical and cost effective for the repair of damaged lawns and small areas needing seeded and repaired. Any type of repair is possible. Construction damage, revised lawn areas due to landscaping changes, the addition of erosion preventative grassed area on hillsides and any other situation requiring a fast germination, low maintenance method of installing a lawn or repairing a lawn area.

Temporary Watering Solution now available
After reviewing service needs in the Ewald Complete Lawn Care service area Bob Ewald, "The Lawn Guy", determined that many current and future clients have needs for a service that will assure proper watering levels in lawn and landscaping regions of their property.
Situations that justify a temporary system
New lawn installations, both seeding and sodding, require specific watering levels to optimize seed
germination or root integration with underlying soil. This watering requirement is different than the requirements of an established lawn.
New landscape installations also are specific in their watering needs which is different from an established landscape setting.
The last short term situation that some may want to consider this service for is a vacation or extended business travel. A well established and healthy lawn and yard landscape area can endure a period of being ignored. A lawn undergoing some stress, either due to disease or insect attackmay not. Any extended trip may require that some consideration be given to how the lawn and landscape will weather a period of hot dry midsummer days.
Ewald Complete Lawn Care technicians know lawns and lawncare and are available to make sure yours is the best lawn in the neighborhood.
